Yesterday was my first NFL-related assignment, covering the Pittsburgh Steelers’ annual training camp scrimmage held at Latrobe’s Memorial Stadium.
I really had to ignore my star-struck gaze on Steeler favorites like Big Ben, Keisel, Heath and Troy to produce nice images for the Latrobe neighborhoods edition which comes out next Wednesday in the Trib.
Despite the traffic jam, the muggy weather, the thousands of slow-walking fans and the horribly lit high school turf, it was definitely a memorable experience I won’t forget. Hopefully more professional sports shoots will come my way in the future!
